Based on my love of the sea and sailing, in this series I experimented with using a resistance factor to create the white space while using water colour paint for the first time.

I try to capture the different ways yachts face the waves, and the different ways people interact with the ocean through sailing. From the quiet calm of sunset sailing, to the exhilaration of a spinnaker run. The sea holds magic for those who venture forth.
